State Rooms and Pipe Exhibition

The first tour route features original furnishings, mostly of the 19th century, but newly supplemented by some objets d'art and paintings. Among the most valuable are the sculptures and paintings in the furnishings of the Upper Chateau chapel, from the late Gothic to the Baroque.

The original 200 hundred year old curtains are also unique and there is an interesting addition to the tour, one of the biggest collections of pipes in the Czech Republic. Rare in Europe is the preserved gas lighting of the interiors. It was introduced to the chateau in 1906 and gas lamps were used until 1945.
